The Cairns Yacht Club (CYC) has an active fleet of keel boats from J24’s, Sports boats, and a number of larger cruising and racing boats.

In 2022, the CYC will be conducting keel boat races over the course of the year, many of which will be occurring in partnership with other clubs in FNQ – Check out our  2022 Calendar on the menu bar.

Traditionally, unless otherwise stated, Notice of Race is given about 10 days prior, with Sailing Instructions posted during the week before of the scheduled race.

Nominations traditionally close at 6pm on the Thursday before the race day – completed forms can be dropped in to the  boat shed or can be emailed to the CYC office.
