YOUTH SAILING

The course extends skills learned in Tackers 2, and covers both intensive student
training by Senior Instructors and further training for the instructors themselves.

OUTCOMES By the end of the courses, sailors will be able to demonstrate : 

• Advanced boat handling skills, including a practical application of the Five Essentials
• Working understanding of sailing terms and theory
• Competitive strategies at the start line and during the race

Youth Sailing will be held at Ellis Beach Regatta on 27 July and at least one sailing day this term will be at
Lake Tinaroo. 

We are also eagerly awaiting the arrival of two brand new RS Quests to add to our fleet – big enough
to take three crew plus skipper!
