Important Notice to All North Queensland dinghy sailors !

There has been a substantial change to the October Townsville Sprint Race Regatta !

As you may know, the Townsville Sailing Club is about to host the Australian Tasar Class Championship.   This will end with a final day of racing on Saturday 3rd October.  This is the Saturday of the long weekend.

Our sprint regatta is usually over two days of the long weekend.  However with the Saturday already occupied, the sprints can only be Sunday and Monday.

On the Tuesday we start the week long Kitefoil World Gold Cup.  The result is we do not feel it is possible to run the usual all fleets two day sprint regatta.

We recognise that the North Queensland Sabot Association had scheduled the sprint regatta as part of their annual tour of regattas.   Therefore the choice of the Townsville Sailing Club is that we will run a two day regatta for juniors and youth only on Sunday 4^th and Monday 5^th October.  The regatta will be for Sabots, Bics, Flying 11s and Lasers only.

There will be no sprint regatta for the senior fleets. 

We remind you that there will be an all fleets regatta at Mission Beach on 24/25 October and in Bowen on 7/8 November 2015.
